Google New Algorithm - Revealed

Today while browsing DigitalPoint Forum I saw an interesting new thread that had the same title as this article. It appears that Google is going to change the search Algorithm once again. Many years back you could stuff your meta tags with keywords and get to the top of Google - very simple! And Google clicked on to this, that’s when the massive Florida update happened and pagerank came into play.

Now Google will to implement a new and more accurate algorithm. Now it is really easy to get hundreds of backlinks with out a lot of effort, so the number of backlinks and the websites PR don’t always show how relevant a website is for a specific set of keywords.

Now your asking how is it going to be changed, Google will soon be looking at factors such as: Visitors, Time on Site, Bounce Rate etc. - Basically all the information that you can get from Google Analytics, nearly every web site on the net is hooked up to Analytics, so they are going to utilize this information and add this to there algorithm.

This new algorithm should return much more relevant search results and will make the content of the website much more important than it is today. Hope that I am not to excited about this, but only time will tell if the changes will be good or not.

Google had not specified a date when the modifications will take place, so we just have to sit and wait.
