Pagerank Update!!!

Today Google made a PageRank update. So make sure you will check you websites page rank to see if you got a higher page rank than before. Honestly I can’t wait to see when this blog will have a good pagerank. But what exactly is pagerank?


According to Wikipedia,PagRank is a link analysis algorithm that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references. The numerical weight that it assigns to any given element E is also called the PageRank of E and denoted by PR(E).

In other words, the pagerank is the popularity of your website calculated with a complex algorithm depending on the number of backlinks you have and on the content of your website.

If you want a good pagerank, have good content and many backlinks.

    I personally am beginning to think Pagerank isn’t really all that important. I’ve had a website design company now for 2 years and worked hard at building SEO for it. Because of the reciprocal links, now I’m being penalized and have lost Pagerank. But I’m still getting page one results in Google for a lot of my search keywords and phrases.

    Even still though. it would be nice to have a good Pagerank!

    Now I’m starting all over with my new blog.
